ST. LOUIS - A 5-year-old is being treated for a gunshot wound at a local hospital after being shot Monday afternoon.According to a spokesperson for the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the shooting happened around 4:35 p.m. in the 1600 block of McLaren Avenue.The victim was shot in their right side. They were brought to a nearby fire station for immediate help. LOUIS - A U.S. District Court judge sentenced a St. Louis lawyer to federal prison on Monday for faking legal documents.Prosecutors with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Missouri said Andrew Wynne, 35, pleaded guilty in March to five felony counts of identity theft.Wynne admitted to forging signatures on documents for cases in St. Louis City, as well as St. Louis and St. Charles counties. He'd make fictitious court orders, judgments, and emails in the name of at least 10 different judges. Some of those documents claimed to award money to Wynne's clients. The city of Denver will pay $450,000 to the family of an 18-year-old shooting victim who bled to death while two Denver police officers watched for more than 10 minutes and did nothing.Jalonte Jones, 18, died Sept. 7, 2020, on the pavement outside an apartment complex in the care of Officer Dewayne Rodgers and Officer David Clough. The Orange County Transportation Authority has declared an emergency related to a sliding hillside in San Clemente that has threatened a railroad track and led to the intermittent halting of train service in parts of Southern California.The OCTA Board declared the emergency Monday, just days after the land beneath the historic Casa Romantica cultural center began to slip away, sending dirt and rocks onto the train track below. Multi-Vehicle Accident near Grangeville Boulevard Left 1 DeadFRESNO, CA (June 12, 2023) – A 25-year-old man lost his life Friday afternoon multi-car collision at Highway 43.The accident happened at about 1:00 p.m. on May 5th, just north of Grangeville Boulevard.According to California Highway Patrol, a Nissan driver was traveling northbound on Highway 43 at an unknown speed when he veered to the right onto the dirt shoulder and overcorrected.As a result, he sideswiped the cab of a semi-truck on southbound Highway 43 before spinning into the path of a Chevrolet.Responding officials arrived and pronounced the driver of the Nissan, only described as a 25-year-old Fresno man, dead at the scene.Meanwhile, the other drivers have no reported injuries sustained from the crash.At this time, it is unclear whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
